Come check out the brand new, state of the art GO Centre, home to basketball, volleyball and gymnastics. Take a tour and witness a number of activities – UofA Senior High Volleyball Tournament, Edmonton Youth Basketball Tournament and competitive gymnastic demonstrations. Bring a pair of clean indoor running shoes and shoot some hoops or participate in a lesson in the dance studio. There will be face painting, treats and much more.

The GO Centre is the creation of four partners in sport: Edmonton Grads Basketball, Edmonton Volleyball Centre Society, Ortona Gymnastics and the University of Alberta. Together they raised $38M to build Edmonton’s landmark destination for physical activity and sport for the enjoyment of individuals, families and league teams.
The GO Centre is centrally located on the UofA South Campus. Ride the LRT for free to the grand opening!

Did you know…
- The GO Centre is comprised of 236,000 sq/ft recreation facility, making it North America’s largest hardwood floor installation.
- The North Gym can hold 5 full size basketball courts that can convert to 10 volleyball courts or 30 badminton courts, or any combination depending on need.
- The South Gym can hold 4 full size basketball courts that can convert into 12 volleyball courts, or any combination depending on need.
- The Competition Gym can hold 2,800 people and will be home to the University of Alberta Bears and Pandas Volleyball and Basketball Varsity Teams
- The Ortona Gymnastics Hall is 22,000 sq ft – complete with massive foam pit, Kindergym, child minding room and competitive gymnastics equipment from floor routines to beams.
Parking is limited! The City of Edmonton is providing FREE LRT transportation to and from GO Centre on September 17 for anyone that presents this invitation.
