Who is the GO Community Centre

The GO Community Centre (GCC) is a non-profit organization committed to maintaining this unique, world-class recreation facility focused on serving individuals, families and league teams in the Capital region.

Does the GO Community Centre depend on volunteers?

The GO Centre was established by a group of very dedicated volunteers. These volunteers worked day and night to make sure the GO Community Centre had all the amenities that the community needed. What is the relationship with the partners of the GO Community Centre?

The GO Community Centre is a joint effort between Edmonton Grads Basketball,Ortona Gymnastics Club, Edmonton Volleyball Centre Society. Each group is responsible for their own areas and the costs/revenue from their operations. There are several committees that work together to make sure they GCC continues to operate. Each committee consists of representatives from all partners so everyone’s voice is heard.

How do I donate?

Donations to the GO Community Centre can be made in a variety of ways. We accept donations online, in person, or over the phone. Our donations are received through Canadahelps.org, you can reach our donation page here or donate by calling (780) 492-5999

What do the donations support?

All donations to the GO Community Centre go towards paying off construction debt, capital expenditures to keep the building running and improving with the technology, as well as to a legacy fund to assist those wanting to participate in recreational activities but cannot afford to do so.

What is the relationship between the GO Community Centre and the Saville Community Sports Centre?

The GO Community Centre built the facility and donated the completed building in June 2011 to the University of Alberta. The University of Alberta obtained a donor that named the building the Saville Community Sports Centre which operates to provide accessible programming for the capital region.

Is a fundraising campaign underway?

We are currently running our GO Champions Campaign. GO Champions are those members of the community who have continued to support the GO Community Centre and our members. These donors will be displayed on our Donor wall on the second level.
